| A new high-end nightlife venue opening soon in the Financial District is looking for Maitre d', Servers, Seating Hosts, Bar Backs, Bussers, Runners, Line Cooks, Prep Cook/Receiver, Daytime Bar Prep, Dishwashers and Overnight Porters
Maitre d' Duties & Responsibilities:
Takes Reservations both via phone and website and organize seating Handle the registration book Greets and seat customers
Servers Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide full knowledge of all food and beverage offerings to patrons Review any changes to menu and/or specials Bus tables as necessary Prepare and/or delivers guest's beverage order
Seating Hosts Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner Responsible for maintaining coatcheck
Note: Hosts will not be taking reservations
Barbacks Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure bar is properly stocked Serve as an assistant to the bartender on duty Handle customer requests, fill basic orders as given Assist the bartender in maintaining a clean and tidy environment
Bussers Duties & Responsibilities:
Setting tables, clearing tables, restocking plates and glasses
Runners Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver food to restaurant patrons
Line Cooks Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with high quality, luxury ingredients in preparing dishes May be required to assist the executive chef and sous chef prepare dishes for chef's table tasting menu
Note: culinary degree and food handler's license preferred
Prep Cook / Receiver Duties & Responsibilities:
Prep- Work: prepare the majority of ingredients for line cooks to use in their evening shift Receiving: responsible for receiving all food and consumable orders for the BOH during the daytime hours
Note: Food Handler's License is required for this position
Daytime Bar Prep Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up the bar for 1st shift bartenders: cutting garnish, re-stocking all of the liquor, cleaning the bar, preparing infusions. etc.
Note: Food Handler's License is required for this position or needs to be acquired within one month of hire
Dishwashers Duties & Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, cutlery, and all pots and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment
Note: prep cook or porter experience also preferred
Overnight Porters Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleaning the entire BOH, FOH, bathrooms, supply closets etc. after the establishment closes at 4:00AM.
General Qualifications:
Candidates should have 2-5 years experience in the position they are applying for in a high-end restaurant or nightlife venue
