The world is changing, and a major shift is underway within foodservice, an industry responsible for serving 50% of the U.S. food dollar. Manufacturers who have traditionally advertised via traditional print media are moving budgets online as they seek to better manage and measure marketing performance.

Foodservice.com is looking for talented sales people who have a passion for foodservice and the internet, coupled with a strong desire to make money while enjoying the constant outreach and "consultative selling" approach to food and beverage marketing professionals.

This is a challenging, exciting, and rewarding position for the right person who feels completely at-ease working independently from a home office. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is comfortable with an unlimited earnings based on performance.

Job Scope

A typical day will include emailing and calling various leads as they are provided by our marketing team in SalesForce.com. We have a highly defined set of leads for various campaigns and sales competitions, based on incoming calls, site leads, and detailed market research.

Leads typically include advertising agencies and food and beverage marketing professionals. The entire sales process takes place over the phone, email, and Internet. Sales calls generally take about 30-60 minutes each.

Qualifications Include:

1. Previous successful sales experience and solid understanding of how to create interest.

2. Exceptional verbal communication skills and ability to articulate our marketing message via phone calls and online demonstrations.

3. Problem solving skills to make solid sales proposals to prospects based on incoming RFPs

4. A strong, competitive desire to make the sale with persistency.

5. Must be highly self-directed, independent and entrepreneurial.

6. Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and sales data management systems

7. Disciplined and organized at sales planning and follow-up.

8. Comfortable working in an organization where semi-qualified leads are provided on a regular basis via our ongoing marketing efforts.

9. Ability to partake in weekly sales meetings (usually Thursday) for 30 minutes to discuss sales activities, goals, and current promotions.


Requirements

A Home office with telephone service, a modern computer, and high speed Internet access.


Compensation and Training

This position is performance-based and driven by generous sales commissions. Average historic earnings range between $55,000 and $165,000 per year, depending on performance.

Training will be provided in the first two weeks which includes an overview of the foodservice industry (if needed), Foodservice.com, and all ad placement opportunities within.
