EXECUTIVE CHEF
250+ Bed Acute Care Hospital

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Food Service Director and as one part of a senior management team of 5, the Executive Chef will manage and coordinate all food production for retail, catering, room service and patient services by monitoring food quality, customer satisfaction and budget while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies.

The Executive Chef is responsible for all production and catering employees (approximately 15 FTEs) and also assists in managing the food budget (approximately $2+ million).

Approximately 3,000 meals served per day. 80% scratch cooking. Type of service: Cook chill room service.

Must be a people person! Lots of public speaking at health fairs and community outreach.

Hospital is very upscale, great food, wonderful reputation within the hospital and in the community.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree from a culinary arts program. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Five years experience in quantity food service management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated computer proficiency.
ServSafe certification within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a hospital setting with therapeutic diets.
Two years hospitality experience.
Experience with hospital room service.
Working experience with Computrition.

Start date: ASAP

Salary range: $55K - $65K
