Catering Manager

Food Express, Inc., a leader in food service management, provides full service vending and office coffee programs throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. In addition, we manage on-site dining facilities providing food service and catering to business and industry facilities.

We are currently seeking a Catering Manager for one of our corporate dining facilities in the Clayton, North Carolina area.
Ideal candidates will possess an associate’s degree and/or 3 years catering/culinary experience. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to success in this role. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while providing a high level of customer service is critical. ServSafe Certification preferred, but can be received with training on the job.

Responsibilities include:
• Supervising and assisting in the preparation of cold and hot food products, set up and pickup.
• The Catering Manager is responsible that the catered food quality and presentation meet quality standards.
• Communicates with the host of the event, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving any guest issues.
• Pricing, billing, sales and organization of all catering events.
• Some supervisory responsibilities, including assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing customer complaints and resolving problems.
