Weekly Poultry Commentary

Arkansas: Market prices traded higher on boneless/skinless breast, 4/10 leg quarters, thighs, and other parts were steady to lower. Trade was active on oneless/skinless breast and bagged leg quaraters, otherwise trade was noted as light. Diminished yields from light bird weights due to heat wave resulted in less offerings. A brake from the extreme heat was evolving and is expected to help birds regain weight just in time for added needs of first of month and holiday trade. Export demand was moderate with leg quarters reported being packed for Russian markets and elsewhere. Price trends were steady to higher on all parts.
