Whole broiler/fryer prices are trending steady in all areas. Preliminary majority prices are unchanged when compared to early week prices. Offerings are light to moderate for current trade needs. Retail and food service demand is mostly light to moderate as the hot and muggy weather conditions returns to most of the area. Floor stocks are light to moderate with many buyers purchasing hand to mouth. Market activity is mostly moderate approaching the weekend. In the parts structure, movement is moderate to good for late week trading. Prices are trending steady to weak for wings, steady to higher for dark meat cuts, and steady on the remainder of parts. Offerings of tenders and thigh meat are light and moving well. Boneless skinless breast, leg and leg quarters are light to moderate. Wings are moderate and noted as slightly more available than a week earlier. Market activity for parts is moderate to good. In production areas, live supplies are \ moderate. Weights are mixed, ranging desirable to light. |
