Weekly Poultry Commentary

Whole broiler/fryer prices are holding steady overall. Preliminary majority prices are unchanged in all areas when compared to early week prices. Offerings are light to mostly moderate for current trade needs. Retail and food service demand is light to good, mostly light to moderate entering the weekend. Floor stocks are moderate to instances long. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts structure, movement is light to moderate. Prices for wings and tenders are firm to higher, steady to firm for breast items, and steady for dark meat items. Offerings are light for wings and tenders and moderate for all other parts. Market activity is slow to mostly moderate. In production areas, live supplies are moderate at mixed, but mostly desirable weights.
