As Corn Supply Drops, Food Prices Expected to Rise

Due to a hotter than expected summer that has damaged this year’s corn crop, food prices are expected to rise, the Sacramento Bee reports. The shrinking supply comes even after farmers planted near-record corn crops. However, high temperatures have stunted the plants. As a result, the U.S. Department of Agricultures has lowered its forecast on the corn surplus to 672 bushels by next summer...
