Do restaurants give inferior food to carryout orders?

Many top restaurants refuse to do take out orders simply for the reason you mentioned: It’s impossible to control how it’s presented or eaten. Food taken out of the restaurant, stripped of its surroundings and the artistry that goes into plating, can never compete.  However, at least two other people have complained to me recently about inferior take-out food. I’m not sure it’s intended, but I do have a feeling some kitchens...
