Local school system: Take fruits or veggies or pay more

"I will send him with a sack lunch every day and that's something we did do last year," said parent, Carrie Malicki. Carrie Malicki has a child in the Chippewa Falls School District. She's concerned about new federal requirements that make students take a half cup of fruits or vegetables with every lunch. The effort is part of the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act, which the USDA issued for the 2012-2013 school year. The school district says they're trying to influence kids to eat their fruits and vegetables at lunch time...
