Richard Seegmiller Director of Purchasing, Mimi's Cafe
From the Beginning
Richard Seegmiller, Director of Purchasing at Mimi’s Cafe, knew a good thing when he
saw one. He has been part of the Foodbuy Group Purchasing Services Program since
1989. Back then Foodbuy was known as Affiliated Purchasing Services Inc. and the
rebate program as MCR. “Given Foodbuy’s growth over the last several years, and the
move from California to Georgia, the transition has been seamless,” said Richard.
Cost Savings
Mimi Cafe is a 53 unit, family oriented, New Orleans style cafe concept, serving all
dayparts. Stores are located in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Texas. Rebates
on pasta, sauces, juice and non-food items average $150 per store on a monthly basis.
That adds up to $1,800 per year.
When you factor in 53 units, the savings are approximately $86,000 per year.
"Not only do we save money, but Foodbuy manages the entire process. It’s automatic.
We eagerly expect additional cost savings when we expand into Utah and Kansas in
2002."
The Foodbuy Advantage
In today’s environment saving over $86,000 goes a long way to bolster the bottom line.
Rebates are available from manufacturers in every product category. No other company
in foodservice can make this claim. Put Foodbuy to work for you.
