School Description

You may choose the broad-based 15-month associate of applied science degree or the 12-month diploma program. An intregal component of each program is an optional externship at sites such as the Smithsonian restaurants, Kennedy Center, MCI Center, Watergate, Wolf Trap, Hyatt, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Pentagon, Embassy Row or one of the various ethnic restaurants in the metro area.

Your culinary experiences will be guided by one of our certified chefs who specialize in baking/pastries, garde manger and international cuisine. These kitchen experiences are complemented by classes involving our three on-site dining rooms and The Library Cafe. Students encounter state-of-the-art technology supported through computer science programs and may choose electives from the Hotel and Event Management curriculum. Financial aid, scholarships, placement and housing location assistance are available and involvement in the local ACF chapter and community service projects round out your time at Stratford University.
